The Tarangini
Handcrafted in Jaipur · Est. 1897Tarangini — she of the waves, she who moves through water without being stopped by it. In Sanskrit, the name belongs to rivers and to the quality of those who navigate difficulty without being diminished by it. The fan pendant at the centre of this necklace has exactly that form — the wave, the arc, the shape of something that has been in motion long enough to know its direction.
Crafted in 925 sterling silver with 22K gold plating, The Tarangini features a large fan-shaped pendant — finished in full gold plate, its surface catching light from multiple angles. Ghungroos hang from the pendant's lower edge in a single row, adding sound to every movement, the way a river always announces itself before it is seen. A red thread sarafa suspends the piece at an adjustable length. Finished with anti-tarnish e-coating.
Style Tip: Red, ivory, or deep gold — The Tarangini is the necklace for occasions that begin in the afternoon and extend into the evening, for weddings that ask you to be fully present from the first ceremony to the last.
