Crafted in 925 sterling silver with an oxidised finish, The Martanda centres on a large sunburst pendant — radiating rays in oxidised silver around a black onyx oval cab centre stone. The dark ground of the pendant makes the stone and the rays both read at maximum contrast. A maroon braided thread sarafa supports the pendant from both sides; a tassel hangs at the centre, adding movement. Finished with anti-tarnish e-coating.
Gemstone Wisdom. Black onyx is the stone of grounding and strength — associated across traditions with the absorption of negative energy and the steady resolve that follows. Worn at the chest, it is said to protect the heart from anxiety and to sharpen decision-making under pressure.
