It is the name for radiance that is self-sustaining, that does not depend on the conditions around it.
Crafted in 925 sterling silver with an oxidised finish, The Suryakanta features a single strand of oxidised oval beads leading to a large circular pendant of exceptional presence. The pendant is a sunburst form — radiating rays in oxidised silver, with a black onyx oval cab stone at the centre, surrounded by white Kundan hand-set in the Jaipur tradition. The combination of the darkest stone and the brightest silver creates a contrast that is visible from across a room. Finished with anti-tarnish e-coating.
Gemstone Wisdom. Black onyx is associated with grounded strength — the capacity to hold steady under pressure, to protect one's energy without withdrawing from the world. Crystal is the stone of amplification and clarity, said to sharpen intention and bring what is internal into external form.
Style Tip: Black or ivory — there is no other correct choice for The Suryakanta. Against either, the sunburst pendant is the only thing in the room. A necklace for the woman who understands the difference between being seen and being watched.
