The Neelambari is crafted in 925 sterling silver with 22K gold plating. Dark blue meenakari — the vitreous enamel tradition that reached Jaipur from Persia by way of the Mughal court — forms the ground of the chandbali body, and White Kundan Polki is hand-set into the enamel in scattered florets and teardrops. Pearl mani drop from the base. The cool blue ground beneath the warm White Kundan Polki creates a depth unusual in Kundan work. At this scale, this is a piece of considerable authority. Anti-tarnish e-coated.
Gemstone Wisdom. Pearl — the Chandramani — brings luminosity to the entire composition. Worn close to the face at this scale, it has the effect of light rather than ornament.
Style Tip: The Neelambari is the earring for the most significant occasions — the primary wedding function, the most formal evening. Against ivory or white, the meenakari reads at its deepest. Against deep navy, it becomes tonal. Never underestimate it.
