The Jamuni
Handcrafted in Jaipur · Est. 1897Jamuni — the deep berry-purple of the jamun fruit, the shade that the gardens of northern India briefly belong to in late summer. Purple meenakari is among the more demanding of Jaipur's enamel colours — it requires the karigar to build the shade across multiple firings.
The Jamuni is crafted in 925 sterling silver. Green meenakari leaf motifs form the crown of each earring; a large lilac meenakari teardrop body carries hand-painted green leaves and scattered White Kundan Polki accents, and a cluster of rose quartz beads and pearls falls from the base. Anti-tarnish e-coated.
Gemstone Wisdom. Rose quartz is the stone of quiet affection — associated across Indian traditions with emotional softening and the capacity to receive beauty without being overwhelmed by it. Pearl brings the clarity that completes the composition.
Style Tip: Lilac, mauve, deep plum, or ivory — the Jamuni belongs to the considered wardrobe. For the woman who prefers softness to statement.
