The Jali Hasli
Handcrafted in Jaipur · Est. 1897Jali Hasli — the hasli with the lattice. The hasli itself is among the oldest rigid necklace forms in the Indian tradition, derived from the collar ornaments of Mughal and Rajput courts. The jali — the geometric open-work — is the additional layer of craft: the karigar cutting the negative space by hand, letting light and fabric pass through the metal.
The Jali Hasli is crafted in 925 sterling silver with 22K gold plating. The hasli is a continuous curved collar, its entire base carved in an intricate floral jali pattern — each shape cut out by the karigar with hand tools, a technique that cannot be machine-made. Moissanite Polki is hand-set across the raised gold surfaces, and a fine pearl border edges the outer contour of the hasli. Small green stone accents punctuate the composition. A teal green silk thread closes the piece at the back. Anti-tarnish e-coated.
Style Tip: The Jali Hasli is for the wardrobe that values architecture as much as ornament. Raw silk, handloom cotton, ivory linen. Worn alone, it is the structural statement — both Indian and contemporary, traditional and modern.
