The Shahi Raani Haar
Handcrafted in Jaipur · Est. 1897In the courts of Rajasthan's great kingdoms, the raani haar was not merely worn — it was presented. It arrived before the occasion, it announced the occasion, and long after the occasion had passed, it remained the thing people remembered. The Shahi Raani Haar was designed with exactly that purpose.
Crafted in 925 sterling silver with 22K gold plating, this long ceremonial haar features mango leaf links in gold, each one set with Red Kundan and polki in hand-placed arrangement. At the base of the chain hangs a grand rectangular pendant: twin peacocks facing one another in gold repoussé, flanking a central ornamental motif, the whole composition ringed in polki with pearl drops falling from the lower edge. Anti-tarnish e-coated. This is not jewellery for an occasion. This is the occasion.
Gemstone Wisdom. Pearl drops at the base of the most ceremonial necklace in this collection carry the Chandramani's gift of luminosity and grace — the quality of light that comes from within and requires no sun to express itself. The twin peacocks in the pendant are the mayura — the sacred bird whose display has been inscribed into Rajasthan's ceremonial jewellery for centuries.
Style Tip: Ivory silk, deep gold brocade, or a plain white lehenga of extraordinary quality. The Shahi Raani Haar is for the primary wedding function, the most photographed occasion of the year. There is no other piece of jewellery in its company. It does not share occasions.
