The Navratan Lariat
Handcrafted in Jaipur · Est. 1897Navratan Lariat — the long single-strand haar in the navratan palette: red, green, pearl-white. A quieter form than the multi-strand choker, designed to move with the body rather than sit at the throat, and to be worn with an entirely different kind of outfit.
The Navratan Lariat is crafted in 925 sterling silver with 22K gold plating. A long single strand is threaded with alternating green onyx beads, dyed ruby plain and faceted beads, and fine pearl — the spacing considered so the colour rhythm reads clearly. At the centre, a round pendant carries Moissanite Polki around a lab-grown emerald heart with White CZ accents. A tassel of dyed ruby and green onyx beads terminates in gold ghungroos at the base. Anti-tarnish e-coated.
Gemstone Wisdom. Green onyx is associated with mental clarity and steady prosperity; pearl brings the Chandramani's gift of purity; the warm red of the ruby beads carries the auspiciousness that anchors the composition in Indian tradition.
Style Tip: The Navratan Lariat is for the evening saree, the kurta at a daytime function, the contemporary Indian wardrobe. Unlike the choker, it asks for a neckline that can hold it — v-necks, deep boat-necks, plain blouses.
