The Jamuni Jhalar
Handcrafted in Jaipur · Est. 1897A purple stone set in a small silver panel, with pearls strung underneath like a fringe on a doorway. The Jamuni Jhalar earring is architecture and ornament in the same three centimetres.
An oxidised silver panel banded top and bottom in gold, an oval amethyst cabochon bezel-set at its centre, granule trefoils standing above and a fringe of small pearl clusters swinging below. Post fitting. 925 sterling silver, two-tone plating. Anti-tarnish e-coated.
Gemstone Wisdom. Amethyst is the stone of clarity and restraint, long associated with a settled mind. Its violet is the colour of dusk, and it is worn for the calm that arrives when the day's noise finally drops away.
Style Tip: Wear with lilac, grey or ivory. The fringe moves constantly, which makes a small earring read much larger than it is.
