The Firoza Jhalar
Handcrafted in Jaipur · Est. 1897A rough turquoise nugget set into scrolled silver, with pearls strung beneath it and one green bead at the centre. The Firoza Jhalar earring is deliberately uneven, and better for it.
A teardrop frame filled with scrolled silver filigree, an uncut turquoise nugget set at its foot, and beneath it a fringe of small pearls with a single green onyx bead hanging at the centre. Hook wire. 925 sterling silver, silver finish. Anti-tarnish e-coated.
Gemstone Wisdom. Turquoise is the oldest protective stone in the subcontinent, set into tribal silver for as long as silver has been worked here. It is worn for safe passage and for the friendship it is traditionally given to mark.
Style Tip: Wear with terracotta, white or indigo. The turquoise is left in its natural shape, so no two pairs read exactly alike.
