Handcrafted in Jaipur · Est. 1897Dharini — she who holds, who upholds. In the Vedic tradition, it is another name for the earth itself: the one thing that bears everything without collapsing. This necklace has that quality — substantial in presence, completely grounded in form.
Crafted in 925 sterling silver with 22K gold plating, The Dharini features a large shield-shaped trapezoid pendant at its centre — a form that references the ancient kavach, the protective plate worn across the chest. At the centre of the pendant, a blue Kundan floral wheel is hand-set in a circular petal formation — each blue stone placed individually, the arrangement evoking the dharmachakra, the wheel of righteous action. Gold ball beads are set into the deep navy knotted thread sarafa on both sides. Finished with anti-tarnish e-coating.
Style Tip: White, ivory, or the palest blue — The Dharini belongs against the lightest fabrics, where the deep navy thread and the shield pendant read with full authority. A necklace for the woman who does not need to raise her voice to be heard.
